MAJOR TOM

The inspiration for this ongoing series was a news story I heard about three members of the International Space Station crew, who had been living in space for over 6 months, and were returning to earth in the midst of a pandemic. Going from one kind of social distancing to another. I wondered if they'd keep wearing their spacesuits when they got home. David Bowie's song Space Oddity is on heavy rotation in the studio when I'm painting these.
